Yesterday I went to a post office to send a video-camera to my friend with EMS.But  the employee there said that I can't send a video-camera since it's being blocked while Beijing Olympics goes on.

So i turned to some other express service provider.Unfortunately all of them told me that i can't send out a video-camera during Beijing Olympics.

And finally a provider which name:Shentong Express confirmed my suspects. They said that all electronic devices delivery are blocked during Beijing Olympics.

I also bought a PSP on Chinese C2C website 'Taobao'.Today the seller called me to tell me that he couldn't deliver my PSP to me.Because the express service provider said it's being blocked.

oh what a pity!It seems like you can't deliver any electronic devices in China during Olympics.it makes me feel angry about the Game.

It is annoying but you don't have to be angry about the game like a kid. Just think you've done something for Olympic.

Forget the unhappy things and Go enjoy the games, mate.

What a shame! I'm excited about the games but, as the inconveniences increase, I'm looking forward to the end of the Olympics when everything returns to normal.

Interesting post. So did Shentong Express say what type of electronic devices were not allowed? Devices for recording purposes or because those devices could look like one of those "violent, destructive terrorist devices" (I am afraid to use the b..b word because of some of the previous ifgogo posts! lol)

Any kind!

I wanted to get my Microsoft Ergo Keyboard from home, but I couldn't get it until the Oct 1st.

Another MVP friend of mine got his MVP Award Gift stuck in Guangzhou custom. Because there are some blue-tooth devices in that package, the custom didn't give it clearance, and told my friend that they were busy for security check.

I feel proud for the country, pity for the government, and pathetic for the people.

This isn't the worst part of the Olympics inconvenience. Some people can't even get bottled water because service provider can't get their water into Beijing, so they can only drink boiled water. I think you guys know how dirty boiled water could be in Beijing.

I guess all the governors and every level of officials are really nervous on the security of this Game, since it is so called One Hundred Dream! Before the Dream comes true, no one can be relaxed, hehe...

Come on! They're not nervous on the security. They only care about their job, their career, their future. They just don't wanna get caught in troubles. The very last thing they care about is security.

Sorry but I have to disagree. We live in very dangerous times and recent history of terrorists taking advantage of major events to bring their cause to world attention is very real. The Chinese government is taking all possible precautions to prevent such groups from trying to perpetrate their activities during the Olympic games and every citizen in China should extend their cooperation willingly, even at the expense of their personal convenience.

Yes. Actually the policemen here in Beijing are much more polite and kind than before. That's what I saw when picking up my girlfriend in the train station.

I really hope our gov can improve a lot after this great game.

Yes, they also apologize to the Hong Kong reporter, after the abusing. Is that what you were talking about?

Hi, Ching,

You are really a descendant of Chinese while taking a right view from Malaysia!

I wish all our Chinese in main land and overseas are now in one heart to do our individual efforts to push the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games to win greatly!

You will notice that those officials, who are in charge of security check, are only pretending doing their job at their best. In fact, you can skip the security check easily if you want, especially when you're in a crowd rushing into the station.

The same thing happens to the second security check of the so-called double security check in the airport. They only skim through your bag to see whether you're carrying liquid and lighter, in fact you can hide them easily under this skimming.

Get my point? To lower rank officials, their job is most important than security itself. They do things, but not do things right.

the people think they are safe, then they are.
But there are reasons.

Uhm... I think that this is the 3rd invasion of China

1) The British

2) The Japanese

3) The Olympics

AND THE GOVIE IS SCARED
