You can see a lot of ppl around us have pity on them. They are even scared to see their disabled body.

We hardly got any coverage of the Paralympics here in Portugal (contrary to the Olympics, those would go on life at 2AM and have small repetitions throughout the day). I did write a comment for our public TV network's forum asking why, but didn't get any response. Big disappointment.

I did follow the games though YouTube though. Talk about inspiring. :)

The disabled people will sure be in a poor situation after the games. The lifts for them was even shut down when I passed by the Number 10 subway station.

What a pity but that's the truth.

I just watched a bit of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Paralympics. I knew I should have watched more. BTW, the South African "Blade Runner" was pretty impressive. It is said that his two high-tech "legs" are worth thousands of US dollars.

We have topped the medal table again (which is good, hehe) but I am not sure how much positive change the Games can bring to the lives of the disabled in China. Just keep my fingers crossed for them.

I haven't seen a full competion in Beijing Paralympic game, but I have seen a lot of news about it, we should learn Indomitable spirit of disabled athletes, they must be honored from our hearts. I believe as Beijing Paralympic game, there will more and more person begin to focus on disabled people.
