Having been asked for many times, when Kingler asked me to do so, I have translated this widget into English today. Here is what it looks like:
So if you support China and the Olympic Games, just put this HTML code into your blog or website:
However, if you don’t like the “recommended links”, you may use this code:
Of course, available in Chinese here.
It’s also available in Netvibes, WordPress and Facebook as:
- (URL) 2008 Beijing Olympics Countdown (Netvibes widget)
- (Download) 2008 Beijing Olympics Countdown (WordPress plugin)
- (Application) Countdown to 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (Facebook Application)
However, if you don’t like it, just forget it :)

Hi Aw,
How do you add the countdown clock to the Olympics to Facebook? It’s a great way to show support.
Liz
Thanks for your interesting. However, the Application for Facebook is being developed by a friend of mine. It will be released at ifgogo then. you can just subscribe our feed at FeedBurner here:

Thank you! I have bookmarked the site and will check back for updates.
THX! nice stuff!
You’re welcome, feel free to spread it. The Facebook Application is being developed.
thanks
You should redo this to resemble the actual Countdown Clock in Beijing. It would be worth the effort and might be easy enough to do:

Just change the color of the numbers and reposition them in a picture of the actual sign.
Just a thought…
Nice job! I agree with worldmikel. It would be even better if it looked like the real countdown clock. I’m looking for something like that to add to my site.
Thanks!
Mike Smith
Feel free to add, however, I don’t think the “actual clock” is better. Things in real life differs from those in internet. If I add some of those effects to this countdown, it would be less compatible to all kinds of web-designs.
Anyway, Many thanks to you and worldmikel :)
Do you have this for MySpace?
Hi Lisa, I am sorry there is currently no available version for MySpace. Maybe there will be one, but I cannot promise anything.
Thanks for your interesting :)
I did notice one grammatical mistake several times in your replies to the comments posted on this page:”Thanks for your interesting.”
Normally I will use “Thanks for your interest.”
Hope you dont mind my honesty, and personally I will simply forget this application for its scant interaction with its users, though it’s got great background images.
OMG, thanks -_-
I just get used to say something wrong … Thanks very very much to correct me. However, as a second language speaker, I am ALWAYS a learner, all of you can be my teacher :)
BTW, what do you mean by “scant interaction with its users” ? Could u please give me some more tips? Personally I don’t think a “countdown clock” needs some “interaction” …
Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks for the update. The clock is up and running and counting down. YEAH!
