I Chair a non-profit foundation that provides medical & veterinary supplies to the pandas at the Wolong Breeding Center near the epicenter. Can't get any info on condition of the pandas and their care takers or residents of Wolong. Road to there is badly damaged; helicopters couldn't land today due to bad weather; all communications down. Anyone with more info?? Thanks !

I copy a letter from my freind in Finland soon after the earthquake as follows to see that people out of China are caring and supporting us:

"Dear Lisa,

These days must be very hard for all Chinese people because of the disaster in Sichuan.

For us who live in quiet and peace it is difficult to understand how hard it is to face a serious catastrophe and what does it mean to the future of the people in the area.

We have an international day in Kuopio market place on Saturday and I am representing there Finland-China -friendship society. We are going to appeal people to send money to the Red Cross to give help to Sichuan people.

I hope you all can overcome this sorrow."
