If I Wanna Get Married

If I wanna get married before 27, I prefer to get engaged half a year before the wedding. Of course, I surely want to be with the guy at least one year in advance before the engagement. Before we start our relationship, I need a few months to get to know him and make sure I really like him. A season to two seasons time will be okay! In this case, which means, I need to meet the guy by the time when I’m 25. However, the problem is how to find my Mr. Right? I’m 23 now, and there’s only one more years left.

I’m not worry about this and no rush for this too… I haven’t think about marriage seriously right now. I don’t even know which type of guys I want to be with for the rest of my life. In my little heart, I don’t want to get married. What a selfish girl I am! Parents, they all wish their children can find their true love and be happy with their life. They also want grandchildren.

What if my happiness is living my own life? No stress for child, no stress for family financial problem… All I need is to get a suitable job, doing some businesses, earning little money, having trips every year, making friends with whoever I want. That’ll be fun. Yes, it’s my perfect dreamy lifestyle. I know it’s just a dream. One day I’ll definitely be lonely. No friends to share my sadness with, no family to be with in Christmas.... When I get older, I might not be able to see words clearly, I might not be able to do work myself…that’ll be very sad scenes.

They Look Like Lesbians But They're Not.

It's very common to see girls hanging out together and looking so closely. Sometimes, you will even doubt that if they're lesbians? In Singapore, when you go walking, no matter where you go, seeing boy-boy or girl-girl thing is not strange.

I have a girl classmate and she has a girlfriend. Her girlfriend dressed like a boy and looks like a boy(she's a handsome girl by the way :P ). They always stay together, even after class, her girlfriend will go and pick up her almost everyday. They call each other "Dear". In an English speaking country, it isn't a big deal ?!

"I don't know, I just feel good to stay with her..feel safe..." she explained to many of us.... "I think I'm straight.... there's nothing wrong with us. We're just good friends..."

Also, boys who dress like a girl, do make up and stay with girls and even behave like a girl are a common scene here.

Now, I'm very familiar with this kind of culture and society. However, if they live in China, maybe things are different.

Anyway, Singapore is a very small country, however, people here  are very open-minded, especially the young.

Rainbow in the Evening!!!

Rainbow in the Evening

I can't wait to share this amazing natural show with you! Just now, a couple of minutes ago, when I was on computer, I looked though window, what the color was of the sky, it's 7 pm ....Oh..wait a minute, what was that? Rainbow?!!! Yes, today rained again! I have to admit that I've never seen rainbow before at the time in this "situation". The color of the sky was almost brown...and it looked blur...so did the rainbow. Were there actually two of them? Perhaps because of the cloud or mist or whatever...

Singapore is really clean!!!!!

They Look Good But...

These photos were taken at Bugis MRT Station today. You might not notice the differences of these photos at first glance until you take sometime and look at them very carefully. Then you will know what these ADs are telling you....

What should you do now? If I were you, I'll get a mirror and smile. My teeth looks fine but not healthy, indeed...I can't tell how important having a good smile is to people, however, even if you are not a good looking person, having a healthy and orderly teeth will surely score you up!

Dental disease is very common in Singapore. I found most Singaporean love to eat spicy and very heavy taste food. Obviously it's not a healthy diet habit. Especially they're living in such a hot surrounding! So, drinking a lot of water is a basic requirement to keep your body fresh here.

I highly recommend you to check and clean your teeth every year! But remember, pay attention to your diet! From my own advises :

  • At least wash your teeth twice a day. Morning and before bed.
  • Eat a lot of fruits and vegetables as much as you can!
  • Drink more water.
  • Stay away of fast food, soft drinks, beers, cigarettes, drugs...

Ruby A Small Girl in A Small Country Singapore

A couple of months ago, I gave myself an new English name, Ruby, which is quite obviously named after my Chinese given name Ru. Dear all, I'm Zhang Ru, an art student from Lasalle College of the Arts (my major is Arts Management) in Singapore. It's been more than two years since I left my hometown Wenzhou, a fast-developing city in Zhejiang Province and I also lost three tickets for Spring Festivals to be with my family.

Never mind, living in Singapore makes no difference at all to Chinese especially very comfortable for those who came from Fujian Province and Guangdong, etc. As most of you probably know that Singapore is a small country with people from varieties of religions and countries! It's a mixed tradition paradise. Among them, over 70% are Chinese (who speak English -_-). Yes, you are right, the official language of Singapore is English (They have their own expression and pronunciation which is called Singlish)! (here's a funny video about Singlish)

I don't love Singapore, but I don't hate it either! The weather here is quite nice (26 C ~ 31 C), and through the whole year, it always remain Summer! Just don't forget to keep an umbrella with you everyday, because you will never know when will the rain come.

I took some photos for you guys to see, most of them are around my house!

That's it for today! Thanks everyone! Thanks Aw!
