Three Days in Life

I am told there are only 3 days totally in one's life. They are: yesterday, today and tomorrow! I know it is a symbolistic saying that means what you have experienced, what you are holding on and what you are looking forl.....

Surely! To me:

Yesterday was full of happy childhood before "Wen Ge" and sufferings after it;

Today is working hardly and updating mysel everyday by new knowledge;

Tomorrow will be a new journey to new places with my endless passion and hope......

With ifgogo, I believe that my yesterday was Microsoft Word, my today is post and comment here, and my tomorrow will be Flash learned from awflasher and other genius!

Hi, this is Lun from Melbourne

Hi all,

I was born in Wuhan, China but left the 'mother country' for Australia at the age of 3. Although I spent the majority of my early childhood in Sydney, I count Bendigo (a country town in the state of Victoria) as my hometown. I studied Commerce/Information Systems with a major in Finance at the University of Melbourne and currently work as an equities analyst for a global Investment Bank.

Unlike the rest of the blog team, English is my first language. In fact, my Chinese is quite bad (and quickly deteriorating from lack of usage...). My familiarity with China and all things Chinese is limited to the stories my parents tell and the odd trip to China to visit friends/relatives. Hopefully, I will be able to contribute a differing perspective to ifgogo and stir up some discussion and debate. I'm looking forward to seeing the rise and rise of ifgogo.

Hi, this is Chengqian Wu from Wuhan

Hello,everybody!

This is Chengqian Wu, or you can call me Angel,my English name given by my grandma.

Right now, I am a master student in Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Although my major is Communication Information System, my research interests focus on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition.I was born and grew up in Wuhan, where I am planning to leave in the near future. To be honest, this might not be the best time of my life, but, always, I have the faith that "tomorrow is another day". I would love to share my own experiences and let the world witness my own maturing.

Hi, this is Mike He from New York City

Mike He, from New York, author of ifgogo.com

My name is Jinru, He. Also you could call me Mike. After 16 years Chinese traditional education, I finally fly to NY. Here, I will pursue my PhD at Polytechnic Institute of New York University. in Computer Science. I will focus my research on web search engines. I think CS is a great major. Because it could convert the theories into technology and benefit people. Also, I love programming. When I find that what I've done could really do something good for others, I feel really excited. Besides, I love NYC. It's an amazing city! it never sleeps, full of passion and opportunities! I believe that I would have a lot of interesting stories here in the next 6 years.

Mikez from the UK (I'm actually going back to China...)

Mike Zhang from Ireland, author of ifgogo.com

After graduating from Wuhan University of Technology with two Bechlor's degrees of Engineering Management and International Trade, I took a gap year working as a part-time English tutor (which doesn't suggest my English is any better) before coming here to Cardiff University for a postgrad programme last September. In case you haven't heard of Cardiff, it's just a wee place on the British Isles, despite its ostensibly glamorous title of a 'capital city' - yes, it's the capital of Wales. Haven't heard of Wales? Well, if you know Princess Diana, you know Wales. Ringing a bell?

OK enough gibberish. I've just finished my dissertation for MSc International Planning and Development, an urban planning course, and you may want to call me an engineerer-turned urban planner. I'm going back to China later October and embark on my career (so AW and all of you may expect an updated version of my intro...stay tuned).

I'm a sarcastic type of person who has cultivated through years a strong sense of scepticism towards things. Call me a cynic but I don't see this an obstacle when it comes to interpersonal communication and you'll find me an easy going bloke with a right tough of humour. But be warned, sick humour is not so funny...

Anyway, don't take what I say seriously, either on or off Ifgogo. Play well and have fun...I'll be glad to share things with all you smart people.

PS, My name is Zhang Naige. You can just call me Mike or Mikez as the title suggests... Ta!

Hi, this is Dodo from Microsoft

Hi all,

I'm very glad to join this blog and be your friend. :)

I graduated from HUST (Huazhong University of Science and Technology). Now, I'm an employee of Microsoft. My hometown is Wuhan, Hubei. As I have lived there for more than twenty years, I want to relocate to Beijing and find more joy and challenge in this strange city.

In my leisure time, I love writing, reading and singing. I always have passion to join all kinds of parties with friends.

Hi, this is You Xu from St. Louis

Hi all,

I (aka. Eric) is a Ph.D. student of Washington University majored in computer science. I was born in Yangzhou and brought up by my grandparents in rural area. After enjoyed the beautiful scenery for 15 years, I attended Yangzhou Middle School in the city, which was kinda pity. Three years later, I entered the Nanjing University in pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. However, deeper interests on computer science gave be a very happy house arrest in the dusty and rusty corner of our library. The endless curiosity about knowledge later brought me four offers from Microsoft, Google China, Peking University and Washington University, respectively. Having been in a tough time to decide which way to go for a while, I chose United States because be a computer scientist/scholar was (and is) my dream. So, this is the whole story and it somehow explains why I am now here -- if you decide to follow your dream or go about doing something, don't panic, just go for it!

On this blog, as a contributor, I would like to share my own experiences with readers and take every question/comment as precious present. I by no means want to be a mentor or consultant. Nevertheless, I will do something that I can do currently, namely, writing posts about my thoughts, to let more people in China achieve their dreams. I am not a journalist My posts generally reflect my perspective towards the world and may not be objective, please proceed with caution.
